BOOK LORE & MORE

In April 2000, SPARC Enterprises launched a new business venture: a used bookstore.  The store presented a unique combination of opportunities for SPARC: a training ground to give people with developmental disabilities retail sales experience, a location to recycle used books that would otherwise by shredded, and a source of additional income for the organization.

The original store opened in SPARC’s Community Connections site and shared space with the Retirement Program.  Now, the bookstore has a place of its own!  On October 1, 2001, the doors of Book Lore & More opened for business.  Located at 122 SE “H” Street (the old location of Grandma’s Attic and opposite Savannah Faire), in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon, the store offers a full range of used and gently read books.  All categories of fiction and non-fiction are represented: children’s books, history, biography, novels, self-help, science fiction and many other categories including a section for the “Curious” for those odd unclassified classics.

In addition, Book Lore & More offers books for sale online at www.abe.com/home/booklorebooks  Rare and collectible books in the collection are now available for purchase by anyone in the world with access to a computer.

Come down and visit the new store location.  Check out the inventory and take a few minutes to search out that special book.
