Day Porter: Provides custodial services to local area business. The Day Porter performs custodial services and performs general cleaning and light maintenance tasks to accommodate customer needs during regular business hours and work week. Working unassisted the Day Porter is responsible for insuring customer satisfaction and performing discretionary tasks as required and directed by the client.

Direct Care Professional: Take responsibility for insuring respectful interactions with all people with disabilities served by the agencies. Supervise people with disabilities according to instructions provided by the Unit Supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe work area, which may include general or specific housekeeping duties. Maintain accurate records and submit reports as required and instructed. Act as an advocate for people with disabilities assuring that the rights of these individuals, as defined in agency policies, as protected utilizing, when needed, the protocols and procedures provided by the agencies. Conduct consumer training as instructed. Provide quality control of products or services as required to insure customer satisfaction. Customers include co-workers, consumers, community partners, business relationships, etc. Act as a positive role model to citizens with disabilities. Other duties as assigned. |
LPN: The shift nurse position is responsible for providing nursing and support services to the residents in the home. The shift nurse is also responsible for the quality of all nursing functions and services while on shift. This position must maintain records and systems related to the delivery of health care services for residents in a group home. The shift nurse will recommend the need for additional training required by direct care staff to the Unit Supervisor to facilitate improved services. This position will participate in staff orientation and training and monitor direct care staff performance around those functions related to medical and health care services. Must be able to instill teamwork among all staff and actively participate to improve services. |
Substitute “Sub”: Under supervision, the substitute direct service staff is expected to respond to planned and emergency assignments at various program units within the organization. Often, this will involve short notice and require knowledge of systems and procedures used in all program units where assignments might occur. |
Duties: Provide consumers with assistance in completing daily living activities including toileting, bathing, meal preparation, housekeeping, etc. Further requires this position to assist with lifting residents (transfers), pushing wheelchairs, and may involve bending, kneeling, and twisting; perform routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks as assigned and applicable, cooking, cleaning, etc. Provide consumers with effective positive reinforcement as a learning and motivation strategy consistent with age appropriate training parameters. Complete reports and record data as required. Administer medications as per agency policies and procedures and insure physician orders are followed for consumers while on shift. Facilitate positive community relations by presenting a positive image to the community and modeling positive interactions with consumers. Insure dress and grooming is in compliance with dress code policy. |
